From Loveland’s Benson Sculpture Garden to the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fort Collins Museum of Art, Northern Colorado boasts a thriving arts and culture scene. Northern Colorado’s culture is enriched by the 33 (and counting!) microbreweries and all of the unique craft beer and spirits produced in the area.

Cultural Amenities

Northern Colorado offers an abundance of music, museums and art galleries, a 100-year-old philharmonic orchestra, and regional arts centers including Colorado State University’s Center for the Arts. Greeley boasts the popular annual UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival, the Greeley Blues Jam, and the Greeley Stampede. Fort Collins hosts Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, a three-day music festival, while Loveland hosts Arise, which includes live music, yoga, art installations and more. Loveland’s Downtown Arts District speaks to the city’s reputation as one of the nation’s best small towns for the arts. CSU and UNC also attract high-profile authors and speakers, whose events are open to the public and are often free.

Craft Beer

Northern Colorado produces more than 70% of the state’s craft beer and is home to 33 craft brewers, including award-winning New Belgium, Odell Brewing Co., and Big Beaver Brewing. Many breweries offer free tours of their facilities and have tap rooms with unique beers and restaurants attached. Annual brewery events like New Belgium’s Tour de Fat bring locals who love both beer and bikes together.

Dining

Northern Colorado’s culinary scene offers a wide range of dining experiences, from long-established Colorado favorites to new hot-spots. Get a taste of some wild game at a locally-owned restaurant in Estes Park. Try a farm-to-table meal in Fort Collins, or take the family out for burgers in Greeley or homemade pizza in Loveland. To top things off, the region offers plenty of local beverage options, from locally-brewed craft beer to Colorado wine and spirits.

Sports & Entertainment

The Budweiser Events Center in Loveland is a 7,200-seat multi-purpose arena that not only attracts high-profile concerts and events but is also home to the Colorado Eagles ice hockey team, the Colorado Crush indoor football team and the Colorado Lightning indoor soccer teams. Additionally, it’s only a one-hour drive to the home stadiums of the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Avalanche.
